Service Description

​In this four hour workshop, you will be taught the fundamental techniques of throwing on the potter’s wheel, which include wedging, centring, pulling up and forming the clay with your hands and tools. Through expert demonstration and personalised guidance, you will be supported to make and decorate a set of four mugs and bowls, where you will explore surface decoration techniques using coloured slips, texturing tools and carving. This immersive workshop will give you an authentic experience of learning the craft of pottery in a fully creative and supportive environment. To complete the set of four objects, you will choose your own colour scheme from a selection of the studio’s glazes. Over four hours you will learn to discover and explore your own creative abilities through the expression of clay to make a collection of personal and usable objects.
